THE DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ- GATEWAY ARCH
LOCATION: KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN
The focal point at Diyar Al Muharraq Masterplan begins at the main entry to the development. Rising 80 meters high with a span of 120 meters across. The Gateway Arch will become an iconic symbol in the region. The concept is based on an organic interpretation of Bahrain’s surrounding landscape. The fluid sculptural form also emulates Islamic calligraphy which interpolates the arch as it rises, swirling and hovering into the sky. Due to its grand size, it is visible from anywhere within the development and surrounding areas. The pedestrian bridge which anchors the monument serves as the platform and circulation path for the residents. It is supported with tension cables, and structurally ties the flanking arch. The Diyar Entry Gateway Arch is an iconic symbol for Diyar Al Muharraq as a master developer in Bahrain.
